Starting The Day

The best way to start the day with a nutritious breakfast - and a healthy one - is to use traditional porridge as a base.

Porridge and oats in general can lower cholesterol. They contain a high amount of complex carbs, which get digested at a slow pace, unlike simple carbs. This ensures lasting energy, slowly released during the day.

Porridge can be topped with low fat vanilla yoghurt, with a sprinkle of seeds and nuts for some extra energy, or fresh fruit (go for jam or honey if you're looking for a treat).

Oats are said to boost libido, and indeed they help with testosterone release.
