When Nothing Else Works
Sopic is a little village near Belgrade, the capital city of Serbia. Recent storms have damaged the village's church and the local priest, Mirko Tesic, believes it should be pulled down and replaced with a new building.
Parish members oppose to this plan, asking for the 150 year old church to be restored. In a letter to the head of Serbia's Orthodox Church, Patriarch Irinej, they ask him to back their campaign for the building to be restored. Otherwise, "If we do not receive your support, we will be forced to collectively go over to Islam in order to get better protection for our facilities under Serbian law".
