Focussing on the neuroscience of compassion, we will explore how practice can build up our emotional systems and our ability as we develop our practice to extend that out and offer compassion to all beings.


David Oldham is a highly qualified and experienced counsellor, currently working in a day care hospice with those affected by life-threatening and terminal illnesses. In this role he facilitates support groups, courses and retreats in mindfulness meditation and self-compassion as well as counselling adults and children affected by bereavement and loss. Many of his clients are faced with suffering and worries about life and death and he has found that a simple approach of learning to work with the breath can be extremely useful.
