Almost human - because it is a robot, designed to help you around in the kitchen.

Just unveiled at the British Science Festival, Boris can see objects with the help of its sensors on face and wrists. In 10 seconds he calculates up to a thousand possible alternatives of action to grasp the object he is contemplating to move with its five fingers, and plans a strategy of movements to reach the target, avoiding obstructions.

Better than any friends of yours - maybe better than a human altogether.
