"How Much They Love Me"
Gabi Mann is 8 year old and lives in Seattle. She started feeding the crows that live in her neighbourhood by chance, when she was 4 and dropped a chicken nugget while on her way to the doorstep.
A crow was swift to recover the bit of food. The following day the crow was there again, hoping for another moment of distraction. And so it begun.
On her way home Gabi would drop food intentionally to the now numerous following of crows that awaited her every day. But they also started to bring her presents in exchange.
A whole box full of shiny scraps of metal, coloured glass, lost earrings, plastic beads, a blue piece of lego, even a pearly heart was delivered by the crows to Gabi's home. "It's showing me how much they love me,", she says. The collection is impressive.
When you see Gabi's collection, it's hard not to wish for gift-giving crows of your own.
