I will examine the three parts of Tristhana – asana (postures), breathing and bandhas(breathing with sound and locks), dristhi (focused gaze) and relate them to the three elements of Patanjali’s Kriya Yoga -tapas( self-discipline, austerity), svaadhyaaya ( self-study, Om’s repetition, study), ishvarapranidhana( surrender) deepening the various aspects during the first three weeks of the retreat , while in the last one there will be a summary . The physical, intellectual and spiritual aspects of yoga will be explored.
